Words From the Families We’ve Supported
What Parents Often Ask
The newborn phase is full of learning, adjusting, and figuring things out together. These answers cover a few of the questions we hear most from new parents.
-
Postpartum support can begin as soon as you return home from the hospital or birth center. Many families schedule care to start within the first few days after birth, while others prefer to begin support a week or two later. We’ll work together to choose a start time that feels right for you and your family.
-
That’s completely okay. Postpartum plans often shift, and flexibility is part of the process. If you’re still in the hospital, we can adjust your start date or offer virtual check-ins if helpful. Once you’re home, support can begin right away or be scheduled for a time that feels manageable for you.
-
Yes. I support families who are breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or using a combination of feeding methods. As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), I provide education and guidance on pumping routines, bottle feeding, milk storage, and responsive feeding practices within a non-clinical scope. If more complex support is needed, I will refer you to an IBCLC or healthcare provider.
