Words From the Families We’ve Supported

What Parents Often Ask

We know there's a lot to think about during pregnancy—feeding included. These common questions can help you feel more prepared before baby makes their debut.

  • Many families reach out during the second trimester, but support can be booked at any point in pregnancy as availability allows. Booking earlier helps ensure on-call availability and allows more time to build a supportive relationship, but it’s never too late. If you’re unsure, a consultation is a great place to start.

  • Yes, partners and support people are encouraged to attend. Prenatal visits and consultations are a space for everyone involved in the birth to ask questions, share concerns, and learn how to best support one another. Birth is a team effort, and inclusive support is important.

  • That’s completely okay. Many families don’t have a clear feeding plan during pregnancy, and feeding decisions often evolve after birth. As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), I provide non-judgmental education and support around a range of feeding options so you can make informed choices that feel right for you and your baby. There is no pressure to decide everything in advance.
